A woman has raised concerns after allegedly losing ₦100,000 following a mistaken bank transfer, accusing bank of failing to assist despite meeting their requirements.
The video was spotted trending on the micro networking platform, X.
According to her, she mistakenly sent the money to an unknown account and immediately reported the issue at the bank, where she was informed that the funds had already been credited.
She claimed bank officials told her the recipient account had been inactive and advised her to obtain a court order to facilitate recovery.
However, after securing the court order and returning to the bank, she alleged that she was informed the funds had already been withdrawn from the account, leaving her unable to recover the money.
She said in part …
“I mistakenly transferred money to this account here. Immediately I made the transaction I had to run down to this branch here to check and they said the money is in the account but that the user of the account, it’s been long that the person used the account, maybe the person is d£@d or something. That the only thing that can make them reverse the money to me is to get a court order which I have gotten, now only for them to tell me that the money have left the account, that they have withdrawn the money….”
