A viral video circulating on social media has sparked widespread reactions after a man shared controversial advice on marriage, urging men to consider marrying women from orphanage homes for what he described as “peaceful unions.”
In the video, the man spoke at length, explaining his perspective while addressing critics who had previously challenged his views online.

Man Explains Reason Behind Statement
In his words, the man said: “As a man, if you want to get married, marry a girl from an orphanage home if you want to have peace. Otherwise, there are a lot of problems you may have in your marriage. Now, I will give you the reason why I made this statement.”
He went on to mention that he had shared similar views in the past, noting that some women had criticised him.
According to him, after further explanations, some of his critics eventually understood his reasoning.
“But first, I want to tell you something that I’ve been noticing lately. I made this video about last year, around last year, and recently I just see that there are some women that have been dragging me,” he said.
Comparison Between Marriage Choices
The man stressed that his advice was not meant to promote exploitation or mistreatment of any woman. Instead, he claimed it was based on avoiding potential family-related pressures in marriage.
“Now, the reason why I say you should marry a girl from an orphanage home or marry an orphan is not because I want you to go and extort any woman or I’m trying to promote nothing. No,” he stated.
He compared such marriages to unions where extended family demands may create tension.
“Instead of you to marry a woman that will be giving you problems, disturbing your life, causing you a headache or bringing family problems… it is better for you to marry a girl from an orphanage home or an orphan,” he added.
According to him, one reason is that such individuals may not have family members making financial demands.
“Because they don’t have any family that will tell you that come and pay, come and buy this one for my daddy, buy wheelchair, buy this one,” he explained.
Warning Against Exploitation
Despite his stance, the man cautioned against taking advantage of vulnerable individuals. He emphasised that the law protects everyone, regardless of their background.
“If you go and marry somebody with the intention that you want to extort the person or you want to use the person because you feel the person did not have family… if they get you arrested, come on, you definitely go for it,” he warned.
He encouraged men to act wisely and ensure their intentions are genuine.
Emphasis on Love and Consent
The speaker also highlighted that marriage should be based on love, mutual understanding, and consent, regardless of a person’s background.
“You need to understand that going for orphanage girl is not an automatic fact… there must be an establishment of love,” he said.
He continued: “It must be that you love the person, you people date and all that… and then she give consent to the marriage and you can now go ahead.”
