Former Real Madrid winger, Steve McManaman, has hit out at Diego Simeone’s behaviour during Atletico Madrid’s Champions League semi-final first leg 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Wednesday.
Simeone’s behaviour and that of Arsenal head coach, Mikel Arteta was under the spotlight at the Metropolitano during the encounter.
But McManaman wasn’t happy with Simeone’s behaviour, as he labeled it as awful and terrible.
“We could see, sometimes the cameras would not show it with the Spanish directors, but we could see what was going on,” McManaman told TNT Sports of Simeone.
“His behaviour, his number two and three with the officials, was terrible. Absolutely awful,” he said.
