“I’m Sweeter Than Sugar” – Pastor Odumeje Praises Himself, Against Displaying Hardship on Social Media
- Pastor Odumeje has advised people not to define themselves by their struggles or display them for sympathy on social media.
- He also made bold self-praise statements, urging individuals to remain confident and proud regardless of life challenges.
Controversial Nigerian cleric, Pastor Chukwuemeka Odumeje, has once again stirred reactions online after making bold statements about self-worth and how people present their struggles on social media.
Speaking during a recent address, the clergyman described himself in unusually confident terms while advising people not to allow their problems define them publicly.
“I’m sweeter than sugar and saccharine. Never look like what you are passing through, your enemy will be happy. Some people always use their problems to qualify themselves; sometimes when they want to post on social media, they will look for touching-sorrow songs to make a video and post. It’s very wrong. Always be proud of yourself,” he said.
Odumeje emphasized that individuals should maintain confidence regardless of their challenges, warning that publicly showcasing hardship can sometimes be used against them.
