Gov. Buni appoints Goje as Yobe SSG

Mai Mala Buni, the governor of Yobe State,  has approved the appointment of Dr Mohammed Goje as the Acting Secretary to the State Government, with immediate effect.

The appointment was announced with a statement released by Mamman Mohammed, the governor’s media aide. He revealed that prior to his appointment, Goje was the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).

Goje’s appointment comes shortly after the emergence of former Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali, as the preferred successor to Governor Buni ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

He was urged to ensure ultimate commitment to the service of the state and the people of Yobe state.
